Creative Haven Out of This World!
Publisher: Dover Publications
Number of designs: 31
Space… It evokes thoughts of the unknown, of wishing upon a star, of vast distances and the powers of creation as planets are formed, stars explode, and meteors streak through the celestial void. Is there life out there? Are we the only intelligent beings in this great universe, or are other creatures looking up from their planet, wishing upon a star and wondering the same thing?
In this coloring book, artists Robin J. Baker and Kelly A. Baker explore outside our skies. Images of stars, moons, planets and suns fill the pages, with occasional imaginary aliens peeking out at you. They also explore the heavens between us and the cold depths of space, with sky images of birds, clouds, balloons, and rain.

Looking through the book, the designs are clearly hand drawn, but the lines are extremely uniform. I can’t say this with 100% certainty, but I would guess that the artists have a digital drawing pad, so they can still draw the designs, but with a uniform line thickness throughout. It’s a good match between artistic vision and digital convenience.
In addition to the themes providing a lot of variety in the designs, the images themselves have a lot of geometric patterns within the designs, providing lots of ways to explore color. I think fans of space will enjoy coloring this book!
